This is Jim (Burr) Drever's Turbine Powered F-18. Burr's F-18 is powered by a Golden West JetCat Hammer, made in Germany, with a very cool auto start feature. Burr began building the F-18 with a bare Byron fiberglass fuselage and designed and built the rest. It's quite a sight to watch a R/C model of this sophistication start itself! In spite of it's weight, the F-18 accelerated smartly and took off using less than half of the available runway.
